Carolyn Young practices in the areas of Construction & Surety Law and Civil Litigation. She represents clients from all divisions of the construction industry, from subcontractors to property owners, and handles a diverse range of construction litigation issues, including breach of contract, unfair business practices, delay and disruption claims, and women’s and minority business issues.

A tireless advocate for her clients and a dedicated problem solver, Carolyn focuses on successfully resolving disputes in the most cost-effective manner possible, whether it be through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or trial.

Carolyn has given presentations to construction trade groups and professional organizations, including a seminars for the Connecticut Subcontractor’s Association entitled “Update on SBE/MBE Set Asides and CHRO Requirements” (April 2017) and “Sexual Harassment Law: An Overview of Employer Obligations and Liability” (December 2018). She has also presented supervisor training seminars for clients on sexual harassment and other employment law matters.

Carolyn is admitted to the state and federal courts of Connecticut and the state courts of New York.
